Your Next Talent Attraction Event

by | Jul 29, 2024

When coaching hiring managers, I often talk about the importance of talent attraction events and how they fit into a healthy lead generation strategy.

A talent attraction event is something you organize not only for the benefit of your own agents, but also for your recruiting prospects.

Talent attraction events are often training/education oriented, but they can also be inspirational, social, or networking events.

Over the past two months, we’ve organized two “talent attraction events in a box” for our readers.

These events have been well-attended, and the feedback from our participants has been amazing.

To build on this success, we’ve just scheduled our next talent attraction event for Tuesday, August 27th @ 12pm ET / 9am PT.

The event will last about 60 minutes, and there is more information below about the speaker and topic.

How do you host a talent attraction event?

Follow this 4-step process:

1. Register for the event and schedule the watch party location.

2. Invite your agents and the outside agents you would like to attract.

3. After the session ends, lead a discussion about the content followed by networking.

4. After the event, follow-up with each of the participants.

We’ve scheduled the event a few weeks out so you have plenty of time to promote the event with both your recruiting prospects and agents on your team.

But don’t delay–get it on your schedule now, and promote early so you can maximize its impact in your local market.

The Attrition Variables

The Attrition Variables

While these attrition constants still have the greatest influence, there are some emerging attrition variables worth noting. People also tend to leave companies when: They feel like they’re not doing as well as others in their peer group outside the company. They feel like they’re not as far along as they should be at a certain point in life.

The Attrition Constants

The Attrition Constants

If you’re not focusing most of your retention effort on these issues, you’ll miss the mark. If you’re not focusing most of your recruiting effort on exploiting these weaknesses among your competitors, you’re missing the best opportunities.

The Persistence Mindset

The Persistence Mindset

A leader equipped with this mindset can have a profound effect on the life and career of each individual they engage. It works because an agent is getting a real-time glimpse of what it would be like to work on your team. But it only becomes believable when it is persistently applied over time.
